Ashley and Drew will say, "I DO", at the WynBrick
in the Winter of 2011

Ashley's story...

We met at Missouri S&T through Tau Beta Sigma, the national honorary band service sorority.

We got engaged on Valentines Day of 2010. He proposed while we were getting old time photos taken at Branson, MO. We loved having pictures while he was actually proposing.

We chose WynBrick because it is affordable and they take all of the stress out of planning the wedding.

Tina & Matthew will say, "I Do" at the WynBrick
in the Winter of 2012

Tina's story...

Matt and I met on 14 Jan 2010 when he came into my office to run electrical wires in the ceiling. I spent the next three days in the office with him while he worked to get all the wires ran. Right at the end of the third day, Matt finally worked up the nerve to give me his number. I couldn’t wait the old fashion 24 hours before I contacted him so I sent him a text that evening and then waited. He didn’t answer me. At first I didn’t think anything about it but then I panicked when he didn’t answer after several hours. I thought maybe I couldn’t read his handwriting. Turned out he had fallen asleep studying for a test. When he finally woke up and saw the number, he was afraid it was someone else and that I had tossed his number in the trash. After the first couple text messages to make sure we were talking to the right person, we have been together every day since.

We chose the WynBrick for our event because, when Matt and I were looking at locations for the wedding, we wanted a place that would feel like home. We want our guests to feel comfortable and welcome during the ceremony and reception. We found all this at the WynBrick. We love the flow of the building and the ability to have the ceremony and the reception in one location so there is less time outside in the cold January weather.

Candace and Sergio will say, "I DO" at the WynBrick
in the Winter of 2012

Candace's story...

I met Sergio when we were teenagers through a friend that was almost ten years ago. From that moment on we have been inseparable. We haven’t always followed tradition as far as getting married first and then having a family but that is what has worked for us. Having two beautiful children and being able to support each other to accomplish our dreams has been what our love is founded on. We have waited a long time to finally be married but the way things have worked out I wouldn’t change it for the world.

We have two proposal stories. The first time was years ago. Sergio showed up at my job at the time and he proposed right there in front of a bunch of people! I was so embarrassed cause I hate being in the spotlight but it really was sweet. Years passed and I lost the ring and so we put the wedding plans on hold because life was so busy with another child and me in school.
Finally this past year for my birthday he took me on nice relaxing weekend in a spa suite and he surprised me with a brand new ring. This time was more intimate and perfect and we decided the wait was over it was time to finalize what we have had for all these years and become husband and wife.

We chose the WynBrick for your event because the WynBrick mesmerized me when we walked in. I love how classic and elegant it feels. I could envision all of our family and friends sharing in our special moment there because it will give us such a cozy and intimate wedding which is exactly what we want.

Caitlin & Kirk will say, "I DO" at the WynBrick
in the Spring of 2012

Caitlin's story...

We both attended the same high school. We had a mutual friend and met through him. Kirk was a senior and I was a freshman. We fell in love then, but we didn’t get together due to other reasons. We reconnected when I was a senior in high school and the rest is history!

On July 16th, 2010 Kirk asked me to marry him. He is a drummer in a band and a big group of us had gone out to support him. Both of our families and closest friends came out. During the middle of his bands set, the singer stopped and Kirk came forward and pulled me on stage. He got down on one knee, said I love you asked me to marry him with the ring in hand. I was so surprised but I nodded yes! It was the perfect way to ask me to marry him.

We chose the WynBrick for our wedding because it is a beautiful building, with a friendly and caring staff. It is affordable and local. It has everything we could have asked for and more.

Betsy & Brian will say "I DO" at the WynBrick
in the Spring of 2012

Betsy's story...

I found Brian in the clearance section of Plenty of Fish.com. ;) We started talking and decided to meet for lunch one day in the Power and Light District. We had an awesome time! I flew out to Colorado the next day. We talked the whole time I was gone, and as soon as I returned the following week we went out again. The hook was set and we never looked back!

I surprised Betsy with dinner at Benton’s Prime atop Crown Center the night before we flew out for vacation in Orlando. It was also to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of our first date. I set it all up with the Benton’s management prior to dining that evening. We were sitting at the corner table overlooking downtown KC and Crown Center. After an amazing meal I had secretly arranged for the waitress to deliver dessert to our table along with a custom made Hallmark Card I designed and wrote just for her (the ring was hidden inside). Once she read the card, found the ring, and didn’t run away I got down on one knee in the middle of everyone and proposed to her. Luckily after several glasses of wine, she said YES! Everything worked out so perfect! She was crying tears of joy (I assume) and the entire restaurant started clapping for us.

We chose the WynBrick for your event, because of it's Beauty, Location, Cost and of course the fine folks at the WynBrick itself!

Christi & Andy will say, "I DO" at the WynBrick
in the Spring of 2012

Christi's story...

We met through mutual friends Heather and Joel who were dating at the time (they are now married). Heather worked with Andy, and Joel was a long-time friend of mine. Heather and Joel had talked about how they thought we’d be a good match for each other and that they should try to get us together. After we finally met, turns out that they were right. One day I confided in Joel that I was interested in Andy, and then Joel of course told Heather. Heather, in turn, went to Andy and said “I know someone who likes you”. It was very cute and grade school. Andy had an idea it might be me but was not sure until he invited me to his birthday party a couple weeks later. I waited until everyone left and planted a big kiss on him, and we have been together every day since.

We had gone to visit some friends in Portland, Oregon for a week’s vacation and were determined to get the most out of our time there. We went to downtown, drank some really good beer at their famous microbreweries, ate donuts at one of the best donut shops in the country, and went to the mountains and saw beautiful waterfalls. It was the perfect vacation. We decided to take a day trip and drive through the mountains and go to Cannon Beach. The drive through the mountains was spectacular and the beach was gorgeous. While walking along the beach, we decided to stop and sit down on this old log that overlooked the ocean. It was a chilly, but beautiful, sunny day. As we watched the waves roll in and all the people going by, Andy took off his sunglasses, got down on one knee in the sand and asked me to spend the rest of my life with him. It was the most perfect setting I could have imagined. I still smile every time I remember it.

We chose the WynBrick for our event because it is beautiful! It’s an especially beautiful place for an outdoor ceremony. Alice and Keith have really made a place that is affordable and lovely. You can tell that they really care about making your day.
